Nigeria’s Vice President, Architect Namadi Sambo, at the weekend clocked 60 years of age.

Born on 2 August, 1954 in Zaria, Kaduna State, he was elected Governor of the state in 2007. in spite of that, his term ended on May 18, 2010 when he was picked by President Goodluck Jonathan to become his Deputy.

A statement on Monday by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, wished the VP well in his duties to the country.

Signed by Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of thd party, the letter reads: “The National Chairman, Ahmadu Adamu Muazu, CON, on behalf of the National Working Committee and the entire PDP family felicitates with our dear Vice President, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, GCON as he celebrates his 60th birthday.”

Also on Monday, top government officials visited Mr. Sambo at the presidential villa to felicitate with him.
