Provide Nigerian People with self defence tools – Shehu Sani tells minister

Shehu Sani, Ex-Kaduna lawmaker has reacted to a statement by the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, advising Nigerian People to defend themselves against bandits.
The retired General while speaking on insecurity and bandits’ attacks in some parts of Nigeria, advised Nigerian People not to be cowards, adding that bandits sometimes possessed few rounds of ammunition.
He told citizens to stay at alert at all times and defend themselves.
Reacting to the Minister’s statement, Sani told Magashi to provide Nigerian People with enabling tools in order not to be cowards when bandits attack.
On his Twitter page, the Ex-Kaduna lawmaker wrote: “If the Defence Minister is prescribing self defence, his Ministry should provide Nigerian People with the ‘enabling tools’ or formally permit them to privately source for it, so that there shall be ‘cowards’ no more in this beleaguered and bewildered land.”
