
The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Sikiru Kayode Akande has warned operators of public transportation to desist from using their vehicles for criminal activities.
The Commissioner in a press statement issued on Wednesday warned the operators to update and register their vehicles legally or face the full wrath of the law.
“All operators of public transportation are warned to update or register their vehicle legally or face the full wrath of the law.
The Statement added, “The Commissioner of Police Cross River State Command is aware of crimination of the use of unregistered vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles within Calabar Metropolis and other major cities in the state
Strategic intelligence has linked these persons or group of persons to be responsible for most of the criminal activities in the state
“The Command’s resolution to curb all unwholesome practice and neutralizing criminal activities has necessitated a holistic clampdown operation to arrest and prosecute offenders” he stated.
