As Edo indigenes clamour for the 2024 governorship ticket to be zoned to Edo central, this may not be a healthy time for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Senatorial District to lose one of its major mobilizers, and stalwarts, Matthew Emiohe, who just announced his resignation from active politics.

Reports say the chieftains decision to quit active politics may not be unconnected with the way and manner the government dissolved the membership board of state-owned University, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

But when contacted, Emiohe, told newsmen that his decision to quit was purely personal and to also enable him attend to his chain of businesses and family.
