The office of Dr. Christopher Ashiekaa,the Special Assistant to the Clerk of National Assembly, Dr. Salisu Maikasuwa,  was Tuesday morning gutted by fire.

An eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the fire started at about 9 am and lasted for over 2 hours.

He said, the inferno was as a result of  faulty electricity cable.

Notice.Com.Ng gathered that property destroyed by the inferno is worth millions.

As at Tuesday evening, the debris were being cleared by a number of cleaners and other staff attached to the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly located on the third floor of the Senate White House.
