Niger CP assures residents of adequate deployment of personnel - Eid el-Kabir
Niger State Commissioner of Police, Adamu Usman has assured residents of the state of sufficient deployment of operatives to Eid praying grounds, recreation centres and other public places across the 25 Local Government Areas in the state during the Eid El- Kabir festival.
In a press statement signed by his Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in Minna, the state capital, and mailed to Press said the move is to ensure safety of residents during the celebration and beyond.
He stated, “The Niger State Command hereby, reiterates its readiness to provide adequate security before, during and after the Sallah celebration.”

The command also called on parents and guardians to caution their wards against any act of public disturbance such as youth restiveness, thuggery, horse-riding, and car drifting.
Saying,” the command will not hesitate to clamp down on any miscreant who may want to use the period to foment trouble or cause any disruption of public peace.”
The command further maintained that the ban on the use of fireworks, knockouts, bangers and other explosive devices is still in force, as anyone found with fireworks and knockouts would be arrested and prosecuted.
While wishing all Muslim Umma in the state a joyous and hitch-free Sallah celebration, it enjoined members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement or persons to the Police and other security agencies for immediate intervention.
