Monarch drums support for new COAS, Nigerian Army - Insurgency
The trust and love for the Nigerian Army should be renewed to effectively checkmate the security challenges plaguing Nigeria.
This is the view of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi as he beseeched Nigerian People to support the army's fight against insurgency.
The monarch said in the manifestation of patriotism, citizens must drum support for the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya."

In a statement by Alli Ibraheem, his Press Secretary, Oba Akanbi said the support for the Nigerian army will be a motivation for military officers.
COAS reveals only solution to ending insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, others
He challenged Nigerian People to renew their trust and love in the security architecture of the country.
He described the new COAS as a gallant officer whose military acumen are certificated to combat banditry and insurgency in Nigeria.
“General Faruk is a gallant officer, an expert in insurgency checkmating and a patriot to the core. I have strong trust in his ability to deliver and effectively decimate insurgency in Nigeria. Nigerian People should encourage him through prayers and the necessary backing.
