Kumuyi arrives Yola for crusade, cautions against politics of sentiments
The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, William Kumuyi, has arrived for a crusade at the Adamawa State capital, Yola, cautioning Nigerian People against politics of sentiments towards the 2023 general elections.
He told newsmen at the Yola International Airport on Wednesday that what will make Nigeria a truly great country is choosing leaders with the credibility and capacity to achieve development, not the party or religion that the leaders profess.
Kumuyi who got into Yola for the global crusade scheduled to begin on Thursday advised against voting for sentimental reasons.
He said: "Those eligible to vote should look at the people asking for vote and examine what we know about them. We are not voting by sentiment, we are not voting because of religion. We are voting for people who we believe that as individuals will make our country great."
Kumuyi who said Nigeria is a huge country that could be made to fully justify its numerical strength in other ways than just numbers added: "We are still the giant in Africa by population, but we need to be giant in every area and so we want to vote for people who can get us there."
The Deeper Life Bible Church's spiritual leader is in Yola for a six-day ‘Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK)', expected to draw over 70,000 people from Adamawa State and beyond.
The crusade is slated for Thursday 24th to Tuesday 29th, November, at a venue owned by the Church, the Deeper Unity Camp Ground in Kwanan Waya, near Yola.
The six-day crusade comes under the theme, "The Power That Never Fails" and seeks to draw attendance from not only the Deeper Life Bible Church but people from other denominations and faiths.
