It’s criminal to graze on people’s farms – Military warns
The Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) maintaining peace in Plateau and environs has said it is criminal to graze on farms.
The Commander of the task force, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Ali, said this while issuing a warning against night and underage grazing in the state.
He gave the warning in a meeting with stakeholders from the Riyom Local Government Area of the state.

Maj.-Gen. Ali, who doubles as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigeria Army, Rukuba, warned that all grazing must end by 6 pm, adding that anyone caught violating the directive would be dealt with.
"Do not go to people’s farms to graze, that is criminal. Anyone who deliberately grazes on farmlands will be arrested and dealt with.
"Also, those who rustle cows should henceforth stop because we will come after them,"he warned.
Riyom and environs has in recent times experienced a series of attacks, killings and wanton destruction of crops on farmlands.
He warned against using underage children to graze without attaching them with adults.
He admonished community leaders to stop protecting but expose criminals in their domain as that is “the only way we can address all these security challenges we are facing”.
