Ex-Liverpool centre-back, Jamie Carragher, has picked his choice for the 2022/23 Premier League Player of the Year award.
Carragher claimed that Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is most likely to win the award for his extraordinary goalscoring form for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
However, the Ex-England defender insisted that Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard will be his pick for this season’s Player of the Year for his great performances for the Gunners.

“I think all the players will vote for [Erling] Haaland. [Martin] Odegaard at Arsenal has been absolutely sensational, but I just know what players are like. I have been in the dressing room, and they just think Haaland has scored so many goals, he has been amazing,” Carragher said on Monday Night Football.
“But I just think if Arsenal win the title, the role of Odegaard has been sensational, I think he is brilliant.”
He continued, “He is the closest thing to De Bruyne, that player who, every time he gets the ball, you think something is going to happen. Yesterday he was fantastic.”
