France files complaint to FIFA over Griezmann’s disallowed goal in Tunisia defeat - World Cup

France has decided to file a complaint to FIFA, after a last-gasp equaliser by Antoine Griezmann was disallowed, the French federation confirmed on Wednesday.
Referee Michael Conger chalked off the goal following a VAR review after the final whistle of their 2022 World Cup match against Tunisia.
Griezmann volleyed home in the eighth minute of stoppage time, but the goal was ruled out as the Atletico Madrid forward was offside.

Aurelien Tchouameni sent the ball into the area and it was deflected by a Tunisian defender into Griezmann’s path, who was onside at that point. in spite of that, the effort was disallowed and Tunisia won the match 1-0.
However, the French federation feels Conger and VAR made a technical error.
“We are writing a complaint after Antoine Griezmann’s goal was, in our opinion, wrongly disallowed.

“This complaint has to be filed within 24 hours after the final whistle,” the FFF said in a statement.
The FFF want FIFA to reinstate the goal and give France a 1-1 draw with Tunisia, although that doesn’t change final positions or which countries advance to the knockout rounds.
