
Eddie Aderinokun, the Ex-Vice Chairman, Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), has passed on.
Aderinokun gave up the ghost on Sunday.
The journalist and sports enthusiast was 80 years old.
His brother, Kayode Aderinokun, confirmed the death in a statement.
“With great sadness, but with submission to the will of God, we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Husband, Brother, Otunba Eddie, Olayiwola Aderinokun on the 3rd of January 2021, following a brief illness”, it read.
The family will announce funeral arrangements in due course.
Aderinokun founded The Clusters, a Lagos pop group, in the late sixties.
It featured Berkeley Jones (guitarist), Tony Amadi, Linus Okechi and Jibade Thomas.
Aderinokun was Patron of the Committee for Relevant Arts (CORA).
