The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday arrested nine internet fraud suspects in Minna, Niger State.
A statement on the Commission’s Twitter page said they were apprehended in an early morning operation on February 22.
It said the arrest carried out by operatives from the Advance Fee Fraud Section, EFCC headquarters, followed credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged fraudulent activities.
Items recovered from the suspects include laptops, phones and cars.
EFCC added that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
