Residents of Awaka community in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, were thrown into confusion and mourning following the alleged shocking discovery of corpses of two children discovered inside an abandoned car.

As stated by reports, the two children had mysteriously disappeared before they were reportedly found dead. How the corpses were eventually found in the parked vehicle had reportedly remained a mystery, in spite of that, Vanguard reports that the two children had previously been declared missing by their parents.

Reports claim the shocking discovery of the bodies in the vehicle attracted scores of sympathizers to the compound close to an unnamed popular relaxation spot in Awaka.

A villager, who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity, said, “When the tarpaulin used in covering the vehicle was removed, the bodies of the two children were found.”
