OHANAEZE

Igbo groups under auspices of Concerned Ohanaeze Stakeholders and Pan Nigeria President of Igbo Extraction Coalition, (PANPIEC) have moved to wade into the post-election crisis rocking the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Press recalls that two different elections held on Saturday and Sunday produced Chidi Ibeh and George Obiozor as the President Generals of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
The Concerned groups led by Ambassador Charles Okereke as Chairman and Mr. Amaechi Okoli as Secretary, in a press release made available to Press on Monday, disclosed that they would reach out to aggrieved contestants as well as members of the apex group towards resolving the internal wrangling.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Concerned Igbo groups, Ambassador Charles Okereke, in the statement disclosed that the groups have concluded formally to invite all contestants in the election and governors of Igbo states or their representatives.
Okereke said the groups have key traditional rulers, religious leaders and elder statesmen in Igboland as members.
According to him, the complete membership will be announced in due course. The group will look into the remote and immediate causes of the post-election conflict with a view to resolving it.
