Buhari refused to honour summons by House of Reps, but honours private visit to Daura says Omokri

Reno Omokri, a Ex-aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Saturday described President Muhammadu Buhari as a roadblock to Nigeria’s progress.
Omokri made the remark while faulting Buhari’s “private visit” to his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
A statement by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s spokesman had announced the president’s weeklong private visit to Daura.
However, Omokri faulted the visit which he said was ill-timed.
In a post on his Facebook page, the Ex-presidential aide wondered why Buhari should travel at a time COVID-19 was ravaging across the country, affecting the army and insecurity remains very high.
According to Omokri: “An APC state chairman killed. Boko Haram kills 70 farmers near Zabarmari. Bandits kill 30 Zamfara villagers.
“Tens of Nigerian People killed or abducted along Abuja-Kaduna rd. A COVID-19 outbreak affects your top Generals, with one GOC dying, and the remaining Generals in isolation.
“This is at a time when all hands should be on deck due to the worsening insecurity in the nation. In response, General #Buhari takes a week long ‘private visit’ to Daura.
“A man who refused to honour the summons of the House of Representatives. But he could honour a private visit.
“The same man who promised to “lead from the front”. Buhari is like a roadblock to Nigeria’s progress!”
