Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, has reacted to the reelection of the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Amaechi said Akeredolu should ensure quality leadership in the next four years.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, on Sunday, the minister said democracy triumphed in Ondo State.
“Congratulations @RotimiAkeredolu on your reelection. The people of Ondo have spoken, loud and clear. Democracy triumphs.
“I believe you will dedicate the next four years to giving them the best leadership possible. Congratulations Aketi!,” Amaechi wrote.
Akeredolu emerged winner of Saturday’s election after polling a total of 292,830 votes to defeat his closest rival Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who had 195,791.
