1. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad yesterday, summoned six Chief Judges in the country over the conflicting court orders emanating from their states in the last one month. Justice Mohammed Who is the Chairman of the National Judicial Council, NJC, issued the summons to the Chief Judges in Abuja on Monday.

2. Eight detained aides to Sunday Igboho, the embattled Yoruba activist were released to their lawyers yesterday. They were released on Monday after the Department of State Security, DSS, failed to comply with court ruling on the matter.

3. Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP fighters on Monday afternoon reportedly dislodged government forces in Rann, the headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area of Borno State. The fleeing residents said the fighters who came in large number were allowing civilians to pass and trapping humanitarian workers in the town.

4. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has insisted that the agenda of Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria is to conquer the entire nation. The Governor, during a recent interview, said he has documents to back up his claims, stressing that the presidency is aiding insecurity in the country by keeping mum over the killings.

5. Unknown gunmen have assassinated the head of a Bororo village, Alhaji Alhaji Sheidu Madawaki, at Obuh Ruga cattle settlement, Oro Ago kingdom in Kwara South Senatorial District. The spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi confirmed the development.

6. A new militant group, ‘Biafran Motherland Warrior', has emerged in the South East. The group, which is said to be deadlier than the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the armed wing of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), reportedly operates around Mbaise area.

7. Ex-Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has asked his supporters and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to gear up for the "battle ahead". Kwankwaso, who is also the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, made this call in one of his meetings with PDP members from different local governments in the state.

8. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has set an initial transaction limit of N50,000 for non-account preparatory to the take-off of its digital currency set for October 1. In a guide released by the apex bank to Deposit money banks, the CBN stipulated a transaction limit for customers, non-interest-bearing Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) status, and an account value limit.

9. Three members of the Living Faith Church Worldwide have been kidnapped at Osara community along Lokoja-Okene road in Adavi Local Government Council of Kogi State. The Chairman of Adavi Local Government Council, Joseph Omuya Salami, confirmed the abduction of three members of the church, through his special adviser on media and publicity, Habeeb Jamiu.

10. Aside Jackie B and Jaypaul, winners of the Head of House game, all other housemates in the ongoing edition of Big Brother Naija are up for possible eviction. Jackie B and JayPaul emerged Head of House after they finished the task they were given completely and on time as well.
